In the 1930s, Lansing native Oyvid L. Rydland went to Michigan's Upper Peninsula and took several photographs of the mining operations there. Rydland was a member of the Lansing Camera Club and exhibited a number of his photos in different exhibitions around the country. |

This photo was also exhibited by the Photographic Society of America for their 1939-1940 season. |
