Welcome

The University Archives and Historical Collections of Michigan State University acts as the memory of the institution through the preservation of and access to University records. In addition, the UAHC provides efficient management of the University's inactive records. Our goal is to support in every way the University's mission of teaching, research and public service.

The UAHC also collects and preserves materials of historical value not directly relating to University history. These materials comprise the Historical Collections and cover areas of local, regional, national and international interest, from the papers of Michigan politicians to the diaries of Civil War soldiers.

Hours Change Advisory!! The MSU Archives will close early on October 17, 2008 and November 4, 2008. On October 17, 2008 the archives will be closed from 1pm - 5pm. On November 4, 2008, the archives will be closed from 3pm - 5pm. We apologize for any inconvenience these closings may cause.				Calling all Student Groups Do you want your group's history to be preserved as a permanent part of MSU's history? The MSU Archives recently received a "Creating Inclusive Excellence" grant to reach out to student organizations and let you know that we want to preserve your historical materials. Documenting Diversity @ MSU				October is American Archives Month The MSU Archives preserves the rich hertiage and history of Michigan State University.
