Biographical Note

Hubert M Brown came to MSU in 1921 as a graduate assistant in Farm Crops. In 1923 he became a research assistant and instructor in Farm Crops. In 1941 he became an Assistant Professor in Farm Crops. He retired in 1965.

Hubert Brown was married in 1925 or 1926. His wife was the daughter of Mr. Pratt, who took the photographs.

Scope and Contents note

The Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Brown collection contains photographs of Michigan State University. Images include a garage on the site of where College Hall stood, the train station/ depot on campus, the power house, and student cap night from 1923.
